POST LAB REPORT

After doing the lab, Naming Ionic compounds, I came to a conclusion.

Data:QualitativeQuantitative
5 drops of Iron Chloride Orange
Substance
Orange before reaction. Darker orange-brown shade after adding drops.15 drops of NaOH were added
5 drops of Copper Chloride Blue
Substance
Light Blue color before reaction. Purple after adding drops.15 drops of NaOH were added

My hypothesis(If I can figure out the ratios, then I can figure out the formula.) was right. The data table above fully supports it. I started with five drops of each substance and I added 15 drops of NaOH. The ratio simplifies to 3:1. Knowing the ratio, I figured the formulas.
